We are pleased to announce that we can provide DEXA bone
densitometry –the “gold standard” of
bone assessment methods—to your facility.
*WHY IS BONE DENSITOMETRY NEEDED IN YOUR PRACTICE?
1. The average primary care doctor sees 54 women
a week over the age of 50.
2. Of these 54 women, 30% have osteoporosis!
3. The current average number of patients diagnosed
with osteoporosis per week is only ONE.
4. Half of all women past menopause are at risk
of developing osteoporosis…one out of three
will fracture.
5. A women's risk of developing a hip fracture is
equal to her combined risk of developing breast,
uterine AND ovarian cancer.
6. A Gallup survey of women ages 45-75 indicates
that 3 out of 4 women have NEVER SPOKEN to a doctor
about osteoporosis. |
INCREASE THE REVENUE AND INCOME OF YOUR PRACTICE
Our unique partnership enables your practice to enjoy
the financial benefits of owning a Dexa unit without the
cost of actually having to purchase or operate it.
It simply does not make sense to send a substantial additional
revenue stream across town to a local hospital.
WE ARE MOBILE AND RELIABLE
Our attractive hi-tech mobile unit is equipped with a
state-of-the-art Hologic Explorer Densitometer which is
operated by a licensed technologist. We provide your patient's
with tests of the lumbar spine and both femoral hips,
because most patients suffer a fracture either in their
lumbar spine, or femoral hips. We can also provide instant
vertebral assessment (IVA), which provides high-resolution,
single-energy images to reveal existing vertebral deformities.
We will determine with your staff, a date and time to
scan your patients at your location. Your staff then schedules
the patients in fifteen minute intervals for up to three
hours of testing. Once we are on scene, we will conduct
the scan and the Hologic Densitometer software immediately
generates an analyzed report for the physician to read.
The report will better enable you to identify patients
at risk for osteoporosis and more accurately determine
their fracture risk, so that you can begin therapeutic
intervention to prevent further bone loss.
Once the relationship is established, we will return at
a predetermined schedule every two weeks, or whatever
frequency you desire. You will be able to count on our
being there, just as though you had the equipment in your
own office.
We look forward to working with you to improve your patients’
health and quality of life.
